flag day. and i totally forgot i had to wake up..?! at least chiawmin gave me a wake-up call..but it was friggin at 7am only?! supposed to reach there by 7.35am. like, wthell. mum and dad were sick so i couldnt bear to ask them to fetch me. ive to take bus196 all the way to bedok, plus the bus took so frigging long to come. and i had only a pathetic $2 in COINS so i couldnt get a taxi. when i need a taxi desperately, theyre never around; when i decided NOT to take one..but was friggin late..there were so many. i think all the taxi drivers were on a conspiracy to irk me that morning. RAWR! the friggin most irritating part was that i packed my stuff [we wanted to study later at bedok library] in my khaki bag..which had a broken sling..WTHECK.waste my bloody time. zzz..nvm. anyways, we still had to wait coz the can-thingy people were late? lols. and clare &winnie were like, "should we go downstairs to buy breakfast now?"
it was for the Geylang senior citizens health care centre Ltd, its meant to 'benefit 514 sick and frail'. ohmygosh, am i pro or what? i still remember what that retarded piece of paper says. lols! XD anyways, met some interesting people at simei where cecilla, jolin, shan shan, ying jia, chiawmin, clare, winnie and i did the collecting funds thing.
case #1 -- shan shan was approaching someone for donations. i think she asked something like "excuse me, woule you like to donate?" that person replied "no, i dont want to donate." and then walked off. attitude, attitude..
case #2 -- some people saw me standing at the foot of the escalator of the simei mrt station and they made a run for it. either a) walking quickly and turning away as if they were in some hurry or b) pretending i dunt exist -"-
case #3 -- one guy donated a mere 5c to chiawmin's can and took three stickers to paste on each of his children. and then walked proudly away, like "i donated ok!" kinda attitude. wthell?
case #4 -- a lady, saw the back of my limegreen TK guides tee, came up to me and said "OH, you're from TK ah? like that then i shouldve helped you donate instead of her.." apparently, she's the mum of someone in 2D, i think. lol. but she was really really generous :D
case #5 -- an old lady came up to donate a few coins. then she shuffled off before turning around and ask in mandarin, "you're a student right?" lols.do i look like someone who'll cheat old people of their cash?? LOLs.
case #6 -- people were pointing proudly at their tiny little red stickers when asked for donations. 'little red stickers' become your ticket to escape from other people with cans..hmmm..
case #7 -- the can-thingy people were uber SLACKING! humph..
case #8 -- for the sake of getting abit more coins in the can AND for CHARITY, i 'exchanged' donations with someone from another school. lol, forgot what name alrd, but heck. hahahs
but then, alot of people were really very kind-hearted. and some elderly people, even approached us to put in a few coins. like, its a donation for other elderly people, so we were kinda paiseh to ask them. lols. and then some didnt bother to get the stickers. nice people :D
went to the KFC in east point for lunch :D
then went to bedok library to study :D too bad clare didnt come, but there's always next time [:
