And tomorrow we'll be going shopping!! :D
Contary to popular belief, the shopping in China truly sucks. Even though everything is made there. Sucks sucks sucks. And they give you the wrong sweets with disgusting flavours like garlic sweet ( D:< ! ) and you can't do a thing about it unless you fly back to demand a refund.
We went to XiaMen ytd to visit my "ancestral hometown".
At first it was all quite cool because back then, during my great-great-grandfather's time, my family was stinking rich. o.o" to think now Im struggling with my weekly allowance. Feck. It was quite cool(: The village was something like in half-ruins.. imagine rural brick walls and really really sharp glass fragments to keep off robbers and perverts.. XD
and the so-called 'family house' is quite ornated with nice details and stuff (which is very expensive to do in the past).Pics from my dad another day^^ I won't see my dad again till Jan 12. ughhh so no pics!! D:
Anyway, there're still people living in the village. and my very very distant relatives kept pestering us for donations offew thousands. gosh. ><" a thousand yuan per person who visited. we had 17 people in our family who went. GOSH D:
Im typing all this now to convince my mum that im not 'wasting time chatting' and really improving my english and typing skills O.o
